We had a smashing year in 2016!
We planted an orchard and our second ever vegetable garden.
We went to Black Sheep Gathering, and won two ribbons.
We bought new breeding Shetlands.
We installed pasture irrigation.
We camped in Yellowstone.
We took Oregon Flock and Fiber by storm!
We had a lovely time at the booth at Fiber Fusion Northwest.
We had our first trunk show at Quintessential Knits.
Then we rested.
We had a new experience with Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. In the past, we have been a family of campers, fiber enthusiasts, students, and consumers of tasty treats and fantastic finds. This year, we were all of that, and then some.
This year, we showed our little lambs for the first time.
The girls did a great job in handling them, and the lambs were so cute. We have a long way to go in showmanship and conformation, but the kids and lambs (and husband) are all having a wonderful time.
We also had a farm booth, where we saw lots of old friends (thanks for coming by!), and made quite a few new ones (hello!). We had light inventory, but will have a ton more product next year. Looking forward to OFFF 2016 already!
We are going to be at two events this fall!

Thanks for bearing with us this past year. I won't lie, it has been a real challenge to get through.
I'm hopeful that I will be able to have 1-2 updates and blog posts per month. I wish it could be more, but life just keeps handing us other things with which to cope. I feel like the most important things I will ever create or raise are my children, and I'm doing my best to put them first. With that said, I'm charging full steam ahead into the autumn with yarn in the dye pots and on the needles!
